Illinois State Police Reports

Two-Vehicle Accident - No Injuries
Illinois State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on Emerson Road, on December 15, 2008 at approximately 5:55 p.m.
An SUV driven by Bobbi L. Habben, 27, Morrison was traveling westbound on Emerson Road when she lost control due to an icy covered roadway. A second vehicle, driven by Laurel L. Brandenburg, 51 of Sterling was traveling eastbound at the same location when it was struck on the driver’s side by the Habben vehicle.
Damage to both vehicles was over $500. Habben was cited no insurance and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. Seatbelts were worn, preventing injury.
Sterling Fire Department, CGH EMS, Rick’s Auto Body of Morrison and Slim-N-Hanks from Sterling assisted ISP at the scene.

One-Vehicle Accident - No Injuries
Illinois State Police investigated a one-vehicle accident on December 17, 2008 on Interstate 88 at approximately 7:25 a.m.
A pickup, driven by Andrew W. Pape, 35, Morrison was traveling on Interstate 88 when he lost control of the vehicle on the ice covered roadway and veered left off of the road, striking a concrete barrier.
Pape was cited for Too Fast For Conditions.
Slim and Hanks assisted ISP at the scene.
The above charges are only accusations and the defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.
