June 13, 1944 - November 22, 2008 Steven M. Chamberlain, 64, of Prophetstown died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at his home. He was an inspector for Sterling Gear for 10 years and previously worked for Micro Gear for 25 years. Mr. Chamberlain was born June 13, 1944 in Morrison the son of Clyde and Joyce (Skarin) Chamberlain. He was united in marriage to Ann Peer on May 8, 1965 in Orion, Illinois. Steven was an avid fisherman and Chicago White Sox fan. He enjoyed playing softball and coached area softball teams in previous years. Surviving are his wife, Ann, of Prophetstown; his mother Joyce Dickinson of Morrison; a daughter, Laura (Daryl) Burkholder of Morrison; 2 sisters, Linda (Mike) Corken of Aurora and Janet Collier of Peru; 2 brothers, Patrick (Suzi) Chamberlain of Dixon and George (Lisa) Chamberlain of Thomson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 26 at McDonald Funeral Home, 46 Grove St., IL 78 N, Prophetstown, with Reverend Meg Ziegler officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. Visitation is Tuesday November 25 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
