GERALD L. “JERRY” FREDRICKS, 65, of 610 Lincolnway Court, Morrison, IL died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL.

Jerry was born on December 7, 1942 in Rock Falls, IL to Clarence E. and Patricia L. (Russell) Fredricks. He was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and was a 1960 graduate of Morrison High School. He went on to attend Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, IL. Jerry served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the Red Aldritt Quarry in Morrison and Fulton, IL. He then worked for the Whiteside County Highway Department. He later was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL for 33 years, retiring in 1997. Jerry enjoyed fishing and golfing.

Survivors include one son, Ross Fredricks of Morrison, IL; two granddaughters, Sierra and Sarah Fredricks; and one nephew, Robert F. Renner of Chadwick, IL.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Renner and one niece, Joy Marie White.

INTERMENT: Oak Knoll Memorial Park – Sterling, IL
