CCC Drama presents A Christmas Carol |
|
Just in time for Christmas, Clinton Community College’s Winter Play - The Farndale Avenue Dramatic Society’s Production of A Christmas Carol – by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin, Jr., will be presented the first weekend of December at the main campus auditorium. The Corner Deli will be catering the delicious meal and lovely desserts. Friday, Dec.5 is the dinner theater ($15), dinner starting at 6:00. Saturday, Dec.6 is a dessert theater ($10) starting at 7:00 and Sunday, Dec.7 is a dessert matinee ($10) starting at 2:00. Although Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol can be actually quite heavy with the poverty, the ghosts and the guilt, this rendition is filled with surprises. From rabbits in the dressing room to the Star Ship Enterprise, as with the original, the true meaning of Christmas still comes through. One of the highlights of the production is the audience interaction. From auditioning guests, to singing carols, to playing charades, this is A Christmas Carol you will seldom see again. Students participating in this production include Brian McLain, Justin Davis, Elesha Stone, Monica Matje, Tessa Bender, Charlie Lange, Olivia Clark, Alonzo Thoroughman, Mareike Kruse, Isabelle Johnson, Nechelle Terry, Lela Creswick, Steven Cotton, Laura Dawson, and Scott Russell (poster/program designer). Call Clinton Community College at 563-244-7001 for reservations. Special arrangements made through Samuel French, ltd. by Editor, theCity1.com |
