Ebay and Amazon Shopping

Regardless of whether or not the Christmas Shopping season has officially begun, the retailers are pushing holiday sales. I have grown accustomed to Internet shopping because it is convenient, cost effective, and less stressful (for me anyway).

Ebay and Amazon.com are two of my favorite websites for shopping, especially if you know what you are looking to buy. Many people I talk with are afraid of Ebay because they think it’s complicated. All you need to do to buy or sell on Ebay is register. If you are looking to buy, type in the item you are looking for and a listing of available auctions or items in an Ebay store will appear. My suggestion for Ebay shopping is know the normal price of the item you are shopping for, and then just try to get it for less on Ebay. Also, close attention to shipping costs and factor those costs into the total cost of the item. Pay attention to the seller’s feedback rating, and click on the rating to see what is behind the numeric rating. Also, Ebay is a great place to find holiday dresses and clothes. Now is also a good time to sell items on Ebay to raise extra money. Do you have any outgrown winter coats? If so, list them as people are in the market now for coats. To sell an item, click on the My Ebay tab and select Sell. Ebay will walk you through listing an item. Also, a helpful tip to win an auction is to bid during the last minute or use a website like www.esnipes.com to bid last minute for you.

Amazon.com is a very well organized, user friendly website with a variety of products. Additionally, detailed product descriptions, customer ratings, and used items are available. Amazon offers free “super saver shipping” on most items in orders $25 or more. Happy Shopping!
