Frontier Appoints Kent Klima as General Manager

Frontier Communications is pleased to announce the appointment of Kent R. Klima, Jr., as the General Manager of the company’s Northern Illinois region. Frontier Communications provides telephone, television and Internet services to customers in 24 states. “We’re very pleased to welcome Kent Klima to our Frontier local management team for our Northern Illinois region,” said Scott Behn, Area General Manager of Frontier’s Illinois operations. “We have redefined the roles of our local managers and field operations to be more focused on our customers, community, employees and competition. The members of our new management team live and work in the areas for which they are responsible, and they know, and are empowered to make, the decisions that will be in the best interests of their local customers and communities. They are accountable for Frontier’s total operations within their respective districts, focusing not only on the technical aspects of our service, but more importantly, focusing on what needs to be done to provide customer service excellence, to be active members of our communities, and to determine the best ways to build and grow Frontier’s operations.”

In his new role, Klima will oversee field technicians who install and maintain the company’s network. Additionally, he is accountable for all decision-making within the Northern Illinois territory, especially for fostering strong customer and community relationships, and for identifying key business opportunities within the communities of Morrison, Lanark, East Dubuque and surrounding areas.

Klima most recently served as General Manager of Titan Machinery in LaMoure, North Dakota, where he successfully managed assets and personnel for this branch of the largest Case IH dealer organization in North America. Prior to his affiliation with Titan Machinery, Klima was owner/operator of Klima Farms in Edgeley, ND, and he was also a farmer dealer with Interstate/Garst Seed and Wensman Seed. Klima holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from North Dakota State University, where he held leadership positions in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

In terms of community leadership, Klima serves on the Farmers Union Oil Co./ Cenex Cooperative Board of Directors, and he previously was a Land O’Lakes Regional Leadership Council Member, serving as liaison to the Board of Directors and as the Young Producer Recruitment Chairman. Klima and his wife Spring have one son, Bennett, age 11, and daughters Jordan, age 6, and Jillian, age 1. The family is currently in the process of relocating to Morrison, Illinois.
