Multiple Charges
Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a routine traffic stop on November 8, 2008 in rural Fenton. During the course of the traffic stop Tiphany J. Smith, 37, Oakland, CA was arrested for Obstructed Vision, Driving While License Suspended and (2) counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Passenger Roy A.L. McKenzie, 41, of Hayward, CA was also arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Both subjects were remanded to the Whiteside County Jail and held on the above charges.
Erie Police Department, Illinois State Police and Bright’s Auto Body assisted at the scene.
Outstanding Warrant Charges
Whiteside County Deputies arrested Michael D. LaVelle, 27, of rural Morrison on November 14, 2008 on two outstanding Whiteside County warrants. LaVelle was transported to the Whiteside County Law Center in Morrison where he is being held under $600.00 cash bond.
Battery Charge
Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Suzanne E. Henkelman, 44, rural Prophetstown, for Battery on November 16, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. Deputies were called for a disturbance at a neighboring residence. Henkelman was taken to the Whiteside County Law Center in Morrison where she later posted $100.00 cash bond and was released pending a December court hearing.
