December 25, 1920 - October 22, 2008 FRED HINE, 87, of Bickford Cottage, Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton. Fred was born December 25, 1920, in Garden Plain, IL, to Herman and Martha (Haan) Hine. He was educated in the East Clinton Grade School, East Clinton, IL, and attended Fulton High School. He served in the US Army during WWII. Fred married Helen L. Shipma on September 21, 1946 in Fulton. She died March 31, 2006. He retired from the former Clinton Corn Processing Company after employment there for many years. He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Fulton. Fred considered his late wife to be the love of his life. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Jennie Decker of Fulton, IL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; one sister, Helena Keisel.
