THE BOOK OF LIES by Brad Meltzer

In Chapter Four of Genesis, Cain kills his brother Abel. It is the world’s first and most famous murder. However, there are no details about the weapon and that weapon is still lost to history today.

Moving ahead in history, in 1932, a man named Mitchell Siegel is killed by two gunshots to the chest. The gun is never found and the crime remains unsolved. Mitchell Siegel’s son, while mourning, dreams of a bulletproof man and creates the world’s greatest superhero, Superman.

Today in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Cal Harper comes face-to-face with his own tragedy: his long missing father! However, the same gun that traces back to Mitchell Siegel’s 1932 murder has shot his father. After this surprising reunion, a ruthless killer tattooed with ancient markings attacks father and son. What a mystery!! I enjoyed this story very much. It wraps three single stories into one, plus, gives the reader food for thought. It is not a book one puts down easily. See what you think.
