Two-Vehicle Accident with Injuries
Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Lefevre and McCue Roads on October 28, 2008 at 3:42 p.m. Investigation revealed a vehicle driven by Ashley J. Dietz, 18, Morrison, was stopped westbound on West Lefevre Road and failed to yield to a northbound truck driven by Brian L. Reed, 43 of Sterling. Dietz was extracted from her vehicle and transported to CGH Medical Center for her injuries.
Dietz was cited for Failure to Yield and was released after posting her driver’s license as bond.
Drug Paraphernalia and Cannabis
Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on October 30, 2008 at approximately 2:10 p.m. in rural Erie. During the course of the traffic stop deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and reportedly located drug paraphernalia and a small amount of cannabis. The driver of the vehicle, Paul Andrew Hansen, 37 of Fitchburg, WI was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He posted bond and is scheduled to appear in Whiteside County Court in Morrison.
Cocaine Charge
Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in rural Erie on October 30, 2008 at 4:35 a.m. During the course of the traffic stop, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located a large amount of white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. Jose Antonio Carrizozo, 39, Arizona was arrested for Improper Signal and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver. He was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail and held pending a future court date.
The Illinois State Police and Bright’s Auto Body assisted Whiteside County Deputies.
The above arrests are merely charges and the person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
