First Annual Silent Auction of Baked Goods

The Family Recreation Action Team (FRAT) will hold their first annual silent auction of baked goods on December 4 during the Christmas Walk. The baked goods can range from cakes, pies, tea rings, yeast breads, gingerbreads, etc. All proceeds from the silent auction will help fund the FRAT projects (play/fitness equipment at some of our parks and the community center development).

The silent auction will be held at Happy Joe's from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. There will be 3 categories - Business, Individual, and Organization. The-baked goods that receive the highest bid in each category will be presented with a "traveling" plaque.

All entry forms must be received by November 17 at the Chamber of Commerce, 221 West Main, Morrison, IL. The baked goods (with the pan/sheet/cardboard must be included) should be delivered to Happy Joe's between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on December 4. Along with the entry form, please include a list of ingredients (for people with allergies) and a description of the item. The entry forms are to be mailed to the Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 8, Morrison, IL 61270 or dropped off at the Chamber Office at 221 West Main, Morrison. Additional entry forms can be picked up at the Chamber.

All winners must pay for and pick up their goods between 8:00 - 8:30 p.m. on December 4. If you have any questions, please call Sherry Schwartz, 815/772-3664.
