CAROL L. BECKER, 66, OF 1000 – 12TH Avenue, Fulton, IL, died Sunday, September 21, 2008, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, IL.

Carol was born September 27, 1941, in Freeport, IL, to Paul V. and Shirley (Halstead) Noeske. She was educated in the Freeport schools and graduated from Freeport High School. She married Dennis R. Becker on September 3, 1960 in Freeport. Carol farmed along with her husband in the Spring Valley area of rural Fulton, IL. Her first priority was making a home for her family. Following retirement, she and Dennis enjoyed traveling. She was affiliated with First Reformed Church in Fulton, worked with the special needs children of the Bi-County Special Education School, and enjoyed camping.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis; one daughter, Tammy Becker of Fulton, IL; one son, Jeff (Julie) Becker of Clinton, IA; four grandchildren, Lynn and Brandy Boelkins, Jason Zuidema; Mariah Becker; three sisters, Sara (Norm) Jordan of Santa Fe, NM, Mary (Marv) Tichler of Morrison, IL, and Donna (Bob) Wade of Morrison, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Paula Karstedt.
