“Who Gets the Money?”

IRAs, 401(k)s and other retirement plans are great tools for accumulation money for retirement. But what are the rules for getting your money out of them? University of Illinois Extension Educator Karen Chan will answer these questions in Who Gets the Money?, a state-wide Extension event presented via teleconference.

“Retirement accounts are powerful tools. But the rules can be confusing,” say Chan, who is also a Certified Financial Planner™. “Knowing the rules can save you money. You’ll learn the best way to roll over money from one account to another, and special rules that make distributions from Roth IRAs more flexible than any other plan. We’ll eve show you how to calculate your required minimum distributions and when you must take them,” she added.
