2008 Year in Review

City of Morrison Rec Intramural Basketball

The City of Morrison Rec Youth Intramural Basketball Program will begin in early December. Registration forms are available at City Hall, on this website, and they have been distributed through the school as well. Registrations are being taken for all boys and girls in grades 1 - 6.

Registration forms are due to City Hall no later than Monday, November 3, 2008. The program is designed to teach the boys and girls the fundamentals of basketball stressing the skills it takes to play the game as well as participating in actual games. A registration fee of $10.00 is required for those wishing to participate.

The program will meet one or two nights per week or on Saturdays (no Wednesdays). Schedules will be determined by the volunteer coaches AFTER registrations have been received. This program is strictly recreational, and it is difficult to schedule around other extracurricular activities. It is not a requirement that participants attend every session. Every effort will be made to work around the Youth Wrestling Program.

The Rec Program will no longer be taking late registrations. You are responsible for registering at City Hall either in person or by mail no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2008. For a downloadable form see Intramural Basketball.

Volunteers are needed to help supervise and coach during the program. Please indicate on the registration form if you are willing to help. You will be contacted to attend a coaches' meeting.
