Arrest Following Investigation of Fight

Following an investigation of a fight in rural Sterling on August 11, 2008, Whiteside County Sheriff Deputies arrested three Rock Falls subjects on September 21, 2008.
Arrested on September 20 was Rhyan Boesen, 23, Rock Falls. Boesen was charged with Resisting or Obstructing a Police Officer. Aaron Russell, 20, Rock Falls was arrested on September 21 for Battery. Victor Erickson, 35, Rock Falls was arrested for Battery.
All of the subjects were issued a Notice to Appear with a pending court date. These arrests are merely charges and the subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Single Vehicle Rollover

Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a single vehicle rollover crash on Friday, September 19 at approximately 11:30 p.m. The crash occurred on Moline Road approximately one mile east of Lyndon. The driver of the vehicle, Joel R. Strayhorn, 25, Lyndon was traveling westbound on Moline Road when he lost control of his vehicle, went into the ditch and rolled the vehicle over. Strayhorn got the vehicle back on its wheels and left the scene.
Deputies intercepted Strayhorn at the east edge of Lyndon on Moline Road where Deputies stopped him. Strayhorn was arrested for Improper Lane Usage, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and two counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Strayhorn was transported to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center where he was later released after posting $300 cash bond, pending a later court date.
