Glorious Day for Paint the Town |
|
Saturday proved to be a glorious day with beautiful weather and a record turnout for Paint the Town. Sunshine and no rain predicted. 2008 has marked the 14th year for Paint the Town. The first year 200 squares were painted on Main Street and year after year that number has grown. This year 1,375 were registered to paint in one of the biggest family oriented events that the town of Morrison holds. For me, Paint the Town has always been an awesome event for me. But this year it just seemed like so much more. It amazes me every year of the artistic ability of so many people, young and old in Morrison. Event the younger ones who may have just splashed, dropped, blotted. Whatever. You knew they had a reason and knew what they wanted to get across. I would personally like to thank all of the people who joined together on the committee, those who just volunteered their time for the Paint the Town event. You have all done your part to make this a joyous, family event for all. THANK YOU!!!! For more Pictures see Photo Album by Dawn Zuidema, theCity1.com |
