Harvest Hammer Draws All Ages

The 2008 Harvest Hammer was a great event again as it attracted runners and cyclist of all ages.

The youngsters set the pace for the more experienced runners as they demonstrated determination and desire to finish the run regardless of what position they might have finished.

The 5K competition that followed the youth runs combined 5K runners with the runner/cyclist team competition. The team competition started with a 5k run and a tag off for a 21 mile bicycle race. Some runners competed by completing the run and cycle without teaming with another.

Great weather and enthusiastic crowds aided the athletes to perform at their highest level.
