Illinois State Police Reports

Illinois State Police investigated a two-vehicle accident on September 2, 2008 at approximately 7:51 a.m. at Polo Road south of I-88.
David M. St Pier, 28, of Sterling was northbound on Polo Road, ½ mile south of I-88 on a motorcycle when a vehicle driven by Daniel Ray Miller, 69, Sandwich pulled from a farm field into the path of the St. Pier vehicle. The vehicles did not collide but St. Pier left the roadway and went into the east ditch, coming to rest on its side.
CGH EMS Ambulance transported St Pier to CGH Medical Center. He was treated and released. He was cited for Improper Classification.
Miller was cited for Failure to Yield to Oncoming Traffic.
Damage to the motorcycle was in excess of $500. Slim and Hanks Towing, Sterling, assisted at the scene.
The charges are only an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
