Motorcycle vs. Car - Minor Injuries
Morrison Police investigated a car-motorcycle accident at the intersection of Park Street and Genesee Street on August 28, 2008 at approximately 1:45 p.m.
A motorcycle driven by Anthony P. Vanderleest, 20, Morrison, was northbound on Genesee Street. A westbound car driven by Nellie Zaagman, 84, Morrison proceeded into the intersection, resulting in a collision with the Vanderleest motorcycle. Vanderleest received minor injuries but declined treatment at the scene.
Total damage to both vehicles exceeded $500. Zaagman was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection. Zaagman is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Aggravated Assault Charge
Morrison Police charged Bryan P. Nugent, 30 on August 29, 2008, with one count of Aggravated Assault. Nugent was charged after Morrison Police completed its investigation into a disturbance that occurred on August 22 at 201 Ash Avenue. Nugent was issued a notice to appear in court. Nugent is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
