Dog Days of Summer Makes "Bow Wow Luau" a Howling Good Time

A good time was had by one and all at the Bow Wow Luau. The Luau was held August 17th at the Clinton Municipal Swimming Pool. This event was a fun event that dog owners and their pets can swim and play together in the community pool. This year's turn out was over four times last year’s attendance.

Animal Birth Control, Inc. of Clinton, Iowa sponsored this third annual “Bow Wow Luau.” This event is co-sponsored by the Clinton Department of Parks and Recreation.

Animal Birth Control, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in Clinton in 1986 as a means to help end our community’s pet overpopulation crisis by helping financially challenged pet owners pay for their pets’ spay and neuter surgeries. Through their spay/neuter subsidy program, they hope to reduce the rate of euthanasia at their local shelter, and to promote happier, healthier pets.
