Time to Honor 2008 Friend of the Fair

It’s a fairly brief ceremony, but Whiteside County Fair Board of Directors President Paul Vock considers it one of the most important events of each year’s fair.

It is the “Friend of the Fair” presentation, this year scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 6:45 p.m. before the Next-Level Pro-Bullriding at 7:00 p.m.

The fair board has chosen The Belt & Isenhart Family as the “2008 Friend of the Fair” honoree. Since 1989, the board has sought to single out those who have made an extra effort to help support and make the annual Fair as much fun as possible for all those who participate or attend the many shows and events.

“This year, the board offers its sincere thanks for the many years of friendship and Dairy shows they have done at the Whiteside County Fair” according to Vock.

“It is always a great pleasure to present this award,” he said, noting the fair’s continued success depends on so many people doing so many different things.
