Dorothy Elizabeth Scott, 67 of Morrison died Saturday July 12, 2008 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.

Dorothy was employed at the former Lawrence Brothers for 42 years until her retirement. She was born on April 6, 1941, in Adair Co., Kentucky, the daughter of Gordon and Maxine (Brockman) Loy. She married Richard L. Scott on August 5, 1959 in Rock Falls.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; eight sisters, Jessie (Bill) Fisher, Rosa Lee (Matt) Webb and Joan Loy all of Sterling, Sue (Peter) Grebler and Tina Johnson both of Springfield, Pat (Ed) Bright of Gatewood, MO, Mary (Robert) Dixon and Sandra Dixon both of Rock Falls; one brother, Wayne (Cathy) Loy of Springfield; four sister-in-laws, Terry Loy, Abbie Loy, Barb (Lewis) Brunk and Linda Scott; ten nieces: Crystal Birch, Sheri Mellburg, Tabi Walker, Carrie Greinke, Trisha Podsiadlo, Danielle Bradley, Amber Dixon, Courtney Loy, Jessica Webb and Alecia Loy; and five nephews: Clint Walker, Chad Loy, Ben Loy, Lee Dixon and Dakota Webb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Donald, Gordon Jr, Richard and Alex Loy.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday July 15, 2008 at 11 AM in Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls with the Reverend Jason Borton officiating.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Tuesday from 10 -11 AM at the church. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Falls.
