Nature lovers will enjoy the upcoming Saturdays at the Arb programs, Herb Faire at the Arboretum and Butterfly Fest. Co-sponsored by the Bickelhaupt Arboretum and Clinton Community College, in cooperation with Iowa State University Extension – Clinton County, the events will be held at the Bickelhaupt Arboretum, 340 South 14th Street, Clinton.

Herb Faire at the Arboretum will be held on Saturday, August 16 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The Bickelhaupt Arboretum has a wonderful herb garden where medicinal and edible herbs are grown. A morning dedicated to the lure of herb gardening from planting to harvesting and uses is planned for you. Come learn how herbs can be used for simple healing, cooking and crafting. There will be presentations, demonstrations and a tour of the Mercy Hospice Herb Garden. Samples of foods using garden herbs will be provided.
Instructors are the Arboretum Herbers. The cost is $10 per person. Class # is 48061. To register, call 563/244-7100 or 888-336-3907.
