Unidentified Pedestrian Struck by Train

A pedestrian was struck and killed by an eastbound Union Pacific train on July 7, 2008 at approximately 3:30 a.m., according to Morrison Police. The pedestrian was walking east on the north side of the railroad tracks when he was struck. The Whiteside County Coroner declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.

The Police Department and the Whiteside County coroner are attempting to learn the identity of the victim. The victim is described as a while male, approximately 65 years old, balding gray hair, wearing dentures, a dark gray baseball cap and gray sweat pants.
