Residential Burglary
Nick R. Lowery, Morrison reported on June 30, 2008 at approximately 4:55 p.m. that an unknown person entered his residence at 402 West Main Street, and stole approximately 100 compact discs, and a small safe. The burglary occurred some time that afternoon.
Domestic Battery
Morrison Police arrested Michael S. Schreiner, 19, Morrison, on July 1, 2008 at approximately 11:47 p.m. on charges of domestic battery and resisting a police officer. Schreiner was arrested after police were notified of a disturbance in Hardees parking lot an hour earlier. Schreiner was transported to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center, where a brief scuffle ensured between Schreiner and the arresting officer. Schreiner was held pending an appearance before a judge.
Schreiner is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Criminal Damage to Property
A representative of Hardees reported on July 6, 2008 at approximately 8:17 a.m. that a window had been broken on the Hardees building some time the previous night.
