French Creek Park Walkers Stuck in Mud

For walkers, bicyclists and roller bladers French Creek Park has been alternately muddy and dry rutted since late April.

We took these pictures on May 11, 2008 and have not seen any clean up as of June 20, 2008. The southwest corner is particularly hazardous for any one trying to walk through on the black top path or on wheels. When the rains come the dirt turns to mud about three inches deep and when it dries the ruts prevent staying upright.

Hopefully, the path will be cleaned soon for the many people who ordinarily enjoy the park's mile long walking path.
