Morrison Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting last week at You’nique Designs. Owner Marcel Anderson has been a lifetime Morrison resident. In 1996 she received her Teachers License and Cosmetology License from Educators of Beauty in Sterling. The salon features full hair service, manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails, ear piercing, hot wax treatments and make-up application. Thursday is Men’s Day. Gentlemen can get haircuts for $7. Marcel will also be adding tanning beds.
The salon, located at 207 East Main Street is open Monday through Saturday and Sundays and evenings by appointment. Call 815-772-4994 or 912-617-3730 for an appointment. Walk-ins are accepted.
Betty Vos also shares the salon with Marcel. Booths are available for rent.
