FLORENCE M. OLSON, 97, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown, IL, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the center.

Florence was born on June 2, 1910 in Thomson, IL to Hans and Margaret (Leuders) Gehlsen. She attended Thomson grade and high schools. She married Elmer Olson on September 27, 1952 in Prophetstown, IL. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1976. Florence worked as a receptionist for the former Eclipse Lawm Mower Company in Prophetstown, IL for 27 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Christ in Prophetstown, IL and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and walking. She walked with 2 or 3 ladies every day until age 90.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

FUNERAL SERVICE WHEN AND WHERE: 1:00 PM, Monday, May 19, 2008, at First Congregational Church of Christ – Prophetstown, IL

OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Andy Ploenzke, Pastor of First Congregational Church of Christ – Prophetstown, IL

VISITATION: 11:30 AM until time of service on Monday, May 19, 2008 at First Congregational Church of Christ Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown, IL in charge of arrangements.

INTERMENT: Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown, IL
