ELVA J. BURDEN, 61, of 10032 Fulfs Road, Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008.

Elva was born March 14, 1947, in Cordova, IL, to William W. and Inice P. (Long) Moyer. She graduated from Riverdale High School, Port Byron, IL. Prior to her marriage she was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL. Elva enjoyed traveling and fishing with her husband John during their retirement.

Survivors include her husband John; three daughters, Deana Burden of Morrison, IL, Roberta Burden of Chicago, IL and Amy Rodrieguez of Jacksonville, FL; one son, John Burden of Colorado Springs, CO; one granddaughter, Lindrielle Burden; five sisters, Rosie Vincent of Moline, IL, Julia Canady of Cordova, IL, Inez Talbot of Hampton, IL, Elsie Moyer of Hanna City, IL and Donna Sierra of Andover, IL; four brothers, Christian Moyer of Thomson, IL, Lester Moyer of Rock Island, IL, Stanley Moyer of Topeka, KS and William Moyer of Rock Island, IL; best friends, Don and Georgia Wenzlick of Bellevue, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, John Ethan Burden; one sister, Eunice Ward; two brothers, Delbert and Joseph Moyer.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Father David Austin – Pastor: St. Patrick’s Catholic Church – Albany, IL

VISITATION: 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday – May 15, 2008 at the Fulton Chapel – Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Lusk Memorial Cemetery – Albany, IL
