When Adam Temple arrived home this morning at approximately 1 a.m. he dodged tree limbs and branches in the driveway. What he was not prepared for was the extensive damage that the farm had sustained. He could see there was a metal shed that had been totally torn apart. This morning you could truly see what wind can do. Debris was scattered across neighbor’s yards and fields for approximately ½ mile. A horse trailer was moved approximately 100 feet and flipped onto its side. Three lawn mowers had been blown out of a shed. “I couldn’t figure out why someone would have left the lawnmower out,” said Adam. Another barn was also damaged but the house survived it all.
If you were like me Sunday night you slept through the storm. Many were awaken to thunder, lightning, rain and wind. Our area received in numbers from 2.5 to over three inches of rain.
Scott and Renee Temple own the farm, south of Route 30 on Yager Road.
