Ashford Day Proclamation

Rodger Holm, Mayor of Clinton, proclaimed Saturday, May 10 “Ashford University Day” during Ashford’s graduation ceremony.

Because of Ashford University’s 90 years of providing education in the city, Clinton Mayor Rodger Holm proclaimed May 10, 2008 as “Ashford University Day.”

“Ashford University (and its predecessors Mount St. Clare College and The Franciscan University) has provided nine decades of higher education and service to the people of Clinton,” Holm read from the Proclamation during the University’s spring commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 10.

“Ashford University has provided quality education to thousands of students and contributed to their success as members of society and…contributes to the economic growth and development of Clinton through education of the workforce, local hiring of staff and faculty, purchasing goods and services from local businesses and attracting students to our progressive City,” the Proclamation said.
