Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a single vehicle Quad Runner crash that occurred at approximately 1 a.m. on May 19, 2008. The crash occurred at the intersection of Henry Road and Malvern Road northwest of Morrison. An Arctic Cat Quad Runner being driven by Jessica R. Ross, 19, of Morrison was northbound on Henry Road when she apparently miss judged the approaching intersection. Ross applied the brakes but slid through the intersection and went off a steep embankment. The vehicle went down the embankment throwing Ross and her passenger Stephanie M. Ross, 39, also of Morrison from the vehicle. Morrison Ambulance transported both to Morrison Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Jessica Ross was cited for No Valid Registration and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. She was released pending a June court date.
