Emily Lou Tadsen

Emily Lou Tadsen, 67, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at her home.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, April 21 at First United Methodist Church in Carroll. The Rev Ken Ferguson and Peggy Scheidt officiated.

Casketbearers were Sam and Nola Newbanks, Larry and Twila Beckman, Tom and Linda Kindelspire, Lynn and Carol Kemp, Ralph and Dolly Gonzalez, Robert and Donna VanOsdol, Wayne Seaman and Kelly Foley.

Burial was held at Mount Olivet Cemetery at Carroll.

Visitation was held at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 4 p.m. on Sunday with a prayer service being held at 7 p.m.

Memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church, Carroll, IA or St. Anthony Regional Hospital in lieu of flowers.

She was born on August 22, 1940 to Glenn Leo and Florence Lola (Imel) Rick. She graduated from Morrison Community High School in 1958 and attended Northern Illinois University at DeKalb.

She married Richard Bristol Tadsen on June 11, 1960 in Morrison.

She was a financial specialist at Farm Credit Services for 22 years.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, PEO and the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter Deanna Castro and husband Nelson Ankeny; a son, Jeffrey Tadsen, Indianola; and two sisters, Linda Elijah of Stanton, MI and Susan Williams of Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
