ELEANOR M. BOONSTRA, 83, of 412 8th Avenue East, Lyndon, IL, died Monday, April 7, 2008 in her home.

Eleanor was born on October 7, 2008 in Albany, IL to LeRoy and Nellie (McDearmon) Eads. She attended Lyndon Schools. She married Thomas Boonstra on January 29, 1944 in Morrison, IL. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1994. Eleanor was a homemaker. She loved needlework and reading. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs Fan. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Prophetstown, IL, where she was in the Martha Circle. She was also a member of the Lyndon Historical Society.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Diana DeNeve of Long Grove, IA and Ellen (Mrs. Matthew) Littrel of Erie, IL; one son, James (Connie) Boonstra of Morrison, IL; nine grandchildren, Beth (Don) Kusch, Jennifer Swanson, David (Michelle) DeNeve, Dena (Paul) Rucker, Darrin (Heather) DeNeve, Brian (Jenn) Littril, Heath (Jenn) Littrel, Tom (Donna) Boonstra, Tim (Jen) Boonstra; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Violet Knox of Morrison, IL; one brother, Charles (Verna) Eads of Prophetstown, IL; one son-in-law, Robert (Sue) Swanson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; one daughter, Sandra Swanson; one son, Richard Boonstra; three brothers, Clarence, LeRoy, and Keith Eads; one great granddaughter, Alexandria Rucker; one son-in-law, Jim DeNeve.
