Single Vehicle Roll Over Claims Life of Morrison Woman

The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office received a call on April 17, 2008 at approximately 4:40 a.m. regarding a single vehicle roll over crash involving injuries. It was reported the accident was near the intersection of Garden Plain Road and Hazel Road, rural Morrison. When deputies arrived on scene it was quickly determined that the single occupant of the vehicle was deceased. Whiteside County Coroner Joe McDonald pronounced, Susan M. Davey, 40, Morrison deceased.

During the course of the investigation it appears the unit was traveling at a high rate of speed when Davey misjudged the curve causing the vehicle to enter into an uncontrollable slide. The unit slid into a farm field where it proceeded to roll several times.
