L-R: Erica Wolf, Collin Wolf, Glenda Hegwood, Rev. Michael Selburg and Emily Davis

Glenda Hegwood with the quilt that is being raffled

The Senior High Youth Group of the First Presbyterian Church is raising money so they can attend an educational work trip at the International Heifer Learning Center near Perryville, Arkansas.

Glenda Hegwood donated a queen size quilt that she made to benefit the students for their June trip. The quilt is called "Crooked Star", and will be raffled off. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

Half of the money raised will go to buying "an Ark" of healthy animals that will go forth and multiply, improving the lives of families and children around the world. The other half of the money raised will go towards the funding of the trip for the students and chaperones.

The beautiful quilt is currently displayed at Gallery on Main, 112 E. Main. The drawing will be held on Mothers' Day, May 11, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Tickets may be purchased from Presbyterian Women, students, or from the church office, 772-3510.
