June 16, 1969 - March 18, 2008

MARK DOUGLAS WALTERS, 38, of Exceptional Care and Training Center in Sterling, IL, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the center.

Mark was born June 16, 1969, in Morrison, IL. He was educated with Bi-County Special Education. He enjoyed his time at school, family trips out to eat and shopping at the mall. He especially enjoyed feeding the ducks at Lawrence Park in Sterling.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Marie and Rex Winget, of Fulton, IL; his father, Harlan Walters, of Texas; two brothers, Terry Walters of Texas and David (Alexandra) Walters of Great Falls, MT; one step-sister, Joy (Dan) Doughrty of Salem, OR; two step brothers, John (Pam) Winget of Washington, IA and Ray Winget of Kingman, AZ; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Evelyn Sharer of Fulton, IL; paternal grandmother, Ruth Walters of Morrison, IL; step grandmother, Katherine Winget of Sedona, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold Walters; step-grandfather, James Winget.

Funeral Information

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Monday, March 24, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

OFFICIATING: Rev. Bruce Wilterdink, Interim Pastor of First Reformed Church – Fulton, IL

VISITATION: 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service, Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

INTERMENT: Fulton Township Cemetery – Fulton, IL
