Health Department Emergency Volunteer Response Team |
|
In times of emergencies nationwide, the true heroes often are volunteers who step forward to provide assistance to their neighbors and their community. Whiteside County Health Department understands the role volunteers play and is creating an Emergency Volunteer Response Team to fill that need to help with potential bioterrorism events should they occur. Anyone interested in joining the Emergency Volunteers Team is urged to attend an initial meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the Health Department’s Rock Falls Office, at 1300 W. Second St. The team will meet on an occasional basis. At the first meeting, members will be taught standard precautions, as well as the roles isolation and quarantine play in reducing contagious outbreaks. by Editor, theCity1.com |
