Health Depatment Awareness Diabetes Series Continues |

Whiteside County Community Health Clinic’ s 2008 Diabetes Awareness Day Series continues with a special program at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23. Patrick Albert, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Whiteside County Health Department, will talk about the importance of managing stress as one way to manage and prevent diabetes. The program will take place in CGH Medical Center’s Classroom 1, 100 E. LeFevre Rd., Sterling. The program is free and the information provided is for women. Guests are welcome. A light supper break will follow the presentation, along with opportunities to visit various Awareness Booths and participate in a Table Talk Support Group. Other local health education opportunities for self-management will be shared as well. The series is supported with a grant through the Illinois Department of Public Health, Office of Women’s Health.
