Earl Kaufman

EARL W. KAUFMAN, 86, of 12072 Yager Road, Lyndon, IL, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison.

Earl was born on December 10, 1921 in Carroll County Illinois to Vernon and Cora (Lotz) Kaufman. He attended rural Carroll County grade schools and graduated from Savanna High School in 1939. He married Dorothy A. Waterstreet on September 27, 1953 in Morrison, IL. Earl was engaged in farming in the Lanark area and rural Carroll County. He was a former member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lanark, IL where he was a board member and was a current member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL. Earl was a board member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau and enjoyed bowling, reading, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Pam Kaufman of Bettendorf, IA, Sara Kaufman of Washington D.C., and Lisa (Mrs. Scott) Mizeur of Moline, IL; two grandsons, Matt and Nic Mizeur; one aunt, Mrs. Lucille Avery of Savanna, IL.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Ray Kaufman.

OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Mike Winkelman – Pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church – Morrison, IL

VISITATION: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery – Morrison, IL
