Donald J. Woehl


May 16, 1936 - March 13, 2008

DONALD J. WOEHL, 71, of 8740 Kenton Rd., Morrison, IL, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison.

Donald was born May 16, 1936 in Burke, South Dakota to William and Magdalena (Schrader) Woehl. He was educated in the rural Burke, SD schools. He married Nancy J. Dickey on November 10, 1958 in Burke, SD. Donald was a rancher in North Dakota until he moved to Illinois in 1959 and began working for Volckman Furniture Factory in Morrison, IL. He proceeded to work for Drives, Inc. in Fulton, IL followed by John Deere in East Moline, IL for 32 years. He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL, the UAW Local 865, and the Fulton Saddle Club. A memorial has been established to Bethesda Lutheran Church and to the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Penny (LaVerne) Pessman of Monmouth Spring, AR, and Pamela Woehl of Windsor, WI; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Cline of Sioux City, IA, Mrs. Doris Olson of Burke, SD, Mrs. Velma Vance of Gering, NE; three brothers, Eugene Woehl of Coffeyville, KS, Robert (Lorraine) Woehl of Fremont, NE, Kenneth L. Woehl of Thomson, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harry Woehl; two sisters, Anna Smith and Esther Smith.

MEMORIAL SERVICE WHEN AND WHERE: 6:00PM, Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Bob Burton, Bethesda Lutheran Church, Morrison, Illinois.

VISITATION: 4:00PM until the time of the memorial service, Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Cremation rites were accorded
