Scholarships Up To $23,000 Available From Rotary

Applications for Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships, up to $23,000 each, are available from the Rotary Club of Morrison. Applicants must have completed at a minimum, one year of college by June 2008. This scholarship is for students whose families live in the Morrison area. The deadline for application is May 24, 2008.

These Ambassadorial Scholarships are for the academic year of 2009-2010 and are for one academic year abroad. They provide funding for round-trip transportation, undergraduate or post graduate tuition and fees, room and board, some educational supplies and language training (if necessary) up to a maximum of $23,000.

The scholarships, which are designed to further international understanding and goodwill, provide for study abroad in more than 160 countries where Rotary Clubs are located. During their studies abroad, Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholars act as “ambassadors of goodwill” through appearances before Rotary Clubs, schools, civic organizations, and other forums.

Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship program is the world’s largest private sponsored international scholarship program. Focused on humanitarian service, personal diplomacy, and academic excellence, the program has sponsored more than 35,000 Rotary Scholars since it bagan in 1947.
