Agnes Steele

Agnes Ann Steele, 81, of Morrison, formerly of Erie, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at Morrison Community Hospital. She was employed by General Electric Co., Morrison.

Mrs. Steele was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Amboy, the daughter of Jacob and Esther (Wagner) Bach.

She married Roger Steele on May 22, 1944, in Sterling. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1969. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Erie.

Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne (Dave) Miller, of Bowen, and Pamela Steele, of Erie; three sons, Steven (Norma) Steele, of Erie, David (Nora) Steele, of Silvis, and Larry (Meg) Steele, of East Moline; sister, Josephine Wilson, of Amboy; brother, John (Beverly) Bach, of Fox River Grove; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Neahring.

Graveside service is at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Erie Cemetery. Arrangements were completed by Gibson Funeral Home, Erie.
