2008 T-Ball Season Soon Approaching

Summer will soon be approaching as will the Morrison T-Ball season. The Morrison T-Ball League is open to all boys and girls who reside in the Unit 6 school district. To be eligible, a child must be five (5) years of age before May 1, 2008, but must not be nine (9) years of age by April 30, 2008.

Registration forms will be distributed through the school and are also available at City Hall. Registration forms are due NO LATER than March 20, 2008. THE FORM MUST BE RETURNED TO CITY HALL either in person or by mail (not to the school.) After all registration forms have been received, players will be assigned to a team. Teams will be divided as evenly as possible according to age and gender. You will be notified by mail as to your team and practice and game schedule. FORMS WILL NO LONGER BE RETURNED TO THE SCHOOL.

A $15.00 registration fee is due at the time of registration. A $5.00 discount will be available for each additional child per family (i.e. 2 children in same family will be $25.00, 3 children in same family will be $35.00.) A $10.00 LATE FEE WILL BE APPLIED FOR ALL LATE REGISTRATIONS. REGISTRATIONS DUE MARCH 20, 2008.

Coaches are needed, so please consider volunteering. We would like to have a least two coaches per team. If there is someone in particular with whom you would like to coach, we would be happy to pair the coaches together. You don*t necessarily have to have a child playing, anyone interested in coaching is welcome. T-Ball doesn*t take a lot of time and doesn*t require extensive knowledge of the game of baseball. We hope you will consider helping. There will be a coaches* meeting on Thursday, April 10, 2008 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Odell Library.
