NS & SS Schools Participating in Pennies for Patients

Students at Northside and Southside Elementary Schools are participating in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients program, which raises funds to find cures for Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma research, as well as for patient services. The program teaches students the value of helping others as they work for a good cause.

The North and Southside Pennies for Patients Programs began February 1 and will run through February 22. The class collecting the most money in each school will receive a congratulatory pizza party.

Since 1993, millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by more than 10 million elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

For more information on the programs and services available from the Illinois Chapter of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, call 1-312-651-7350 or visit Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
