WILLIAM RUSSELL HANSEN, 81, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Monday, January 14, 2008 at the nursing home.

Russ was born June 13, 1926 in Sterling, IL to Peter W. and Catherine (Sinclair) Hansen. He attended Morrison grade and high schools. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Russ was employed with the former Herman Nelson Manufacturing Company in Morrison and Penberthy in Prophetstown, IL, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include his cousin, Neal Patterson of Morrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Vivian M. Riedel; two brothers, Henry S. Hansen and Stanley Hansen.

OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Rita Wolf – Brethren in Christ Church

VISITATION: 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at the Morrison Chapel – Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery – Morrison, IL
