Investigation Leads to Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse

After an investigation by the Morrison Police Department, Larry D. Geerts, 65, of Morrison was arrested on January 23, 2008 for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. Geerts was taken to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department and later released on bond. Geerts is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Hit-And-Run

Shannon Nehrkorn reported that her vehicle had been struck while parked in the alley behind 509 E. Main Street on January 22, 2008. The unknown vehicle then left the scene. The damage to the Nehrkorn vehicle was under $500. The Police Department asks that anyone with information to contact the Department.

Hit-And Run

Ronda Davidson reported on January 22, 2008, that while she was driving westbound on Main Street at the Post Office, a green pickup truck with a snowplow, backed out of a parking space. The pickup truck left the scene. The damage to the Davidson vehicle was under $500. Anyone with information can contact the Morrison Police Department.
