Boland Announces Candidacy for Re-Election

The former school teacher and current State Legislator for the Illinois 71st District will announce his candidacy on Monday, January 28, 2008.

At 11:00 am at 409 South Church Street in Albany, Illinois, Rep. Boland will make his announcement. Boland, who serves as Chairman of the house Committee on Banking and Financial Institutions, will outline his achievements of the last 10 years in office and his legislative goals for an eighth term in office.

Prior to his election as State Representative, Boland had a 30 year career as a school teacher and was a founder of the Citizens Utility Board, serving on the C.U.B. board of directors for ten years and two terms as C.U.B. Vice President.
