April 02, 1955 - January 12, 2008 WILBURN “WILLY” SMITH III, 52, of Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, IA died Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Nursing Center. Wilburn was born April 25, 1955 in Tucson, AZ, to Wilburn and Dorothy A. (Everly) Smith, Jr. He was a graduate of Hawthorne High School in Hawthorne, CA. Willy had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a machinist for a tool and die company. Willy was best known for his good nature and sense of humor. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Egberts of Fulton, IL; two sisters, Teri (Mrs. Art) Houzenga of Fulton, IL and Robin Rosas of Savanna, IL; two brothers, Mike Smith of Savanna, IL and Dennis Plattenberger of Mt. Carroll, IL. He was preceded in death by his father.
