My Favorite Mailman Arnie Snyder Retires

I am sure most of you know by now that Arnie Snyder, the mailman, is retiring after 42 years on the job. Many of us have come to look forward to his daily visit.

Some enjoyed his friendly smile and small talk, while others, of a younger age, appreciated his contributions to their lemonade stands.

On those really hot summer days, a few kids from my neighborhood and I would hold lemonade stands. We always waited for the mail truck to park, knowing well that Arnie would surely buy a lemonade. I wouldn't doubt that Arnie did the same for all the lemonade stands on his route. We were always more then happy to fill the glass to the very top.

As the years passed, Arnie was always that constant friendly face. He seemed cheerful even on the coldest of days. He was an excellent mailman who the community will miss seeing day to day. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say thank you Arnie! Thank you for the lasting impression you've made on all of us.
